The Pneumology Department, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, is staffed by experienced and reputable doctors to treat all lung diseases. In addition, special outpatient clinics operate, thorough and specialized examinations, endoscopic procedures and counseling support are provided.
The Pneumology Clinic offers the investigation, treatment and monitoring by a qualified Pneumologist of patients with serious problems of the respiratory system and pre-operative control in collaboration with other medical specialties, especially the ICU, for the best treatment of patients.
The fully organized and equipped Pneumology Department has the ability to deal with any ailment of the respiratory system through specialized sub-departments, and specifically:
Respiratory Function Laboratory
In the Respiratory Function Laboratory, the following are carried out:
- Complete spirometry
- Diffusive Capacity (DLCO)
- Blood gases
- Estimation of respiratory muscle power (PI MAX, PE MAX)
- Pulmonary echography (VRI).
Bronchial Asthma Laboratory
The Bronchial Asthma Laboratory carries out:
- Inhalation detection tests (Histamine, Mannitol)
- Skin Tests (SKIN PRICK TESTS).
Sleep Study Laboratory
In the Sleep Study Laboratory, the following are carried out:
- Cardiorespiratory sleep study
