IVF
IVF (in vitro fertilisation) is an assisted reproduction technique in which fertilization takes place in the laboratory.

IVF includes a variety of procedures (e.g. conventional IVF, ICSI, etc.) and is applied to sub fertile couples where simpler assisted reproduction technologies (ARTs) were either unsuitable or failed.

The success rate of IVF techniques ranges between 35 – 50%.

IUI
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a simple procedure that lasts only a few minutes.

During this form of fertility treatment, sperm that have been washed and concentrated have placed in the uterus around the time of ovulation so as to achieve fertilisation.

The goal of IUI is to increase the number of sperm that reach the fallopian tubes and subsequently increase the chance of fertilization, resulting in a normal pregnancy.

Depending on the reasons for infertility, IUI can be coordinated with the woman’s menstrual cycle or she may be administered fertility drugs.
