Tzatzairis Themistoklis
Child Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Tzatzairis obtained his medical degree from Democritus University of Thrace in 2010. He then trained in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis. In March 2018, he was awarded an MSc certificate after successfully defending his thesis, which was graded 10/10. In April 2019, he received his PhD certificate, also with a thesis graded 10/10.
After completing his training, he was appointed as a Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellow at the Royal London Hospital for two years. Following this, he served as a locum Paediatric Orthopaedic Consultant at the Royal London Hospital for six months.
Upon finishing his training in the UK, Dr. Tzatzairis decided to return to Greece to contribute to both the public (Democritus University of Thrace) and private healthcare systems, aiming to share his knowledge with the next generation. He is a board member of the International Committee on DDH Evaluation (ICODE) and has participated as a trainer in Graf’s Ultrasound Courses. Additionally, he is an expert reviewer for several reputed journals and has numerous research publications.
His research interests include Paediatric Orthopaedics, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip, Paediatric Orthopaedic Trauma, Clubfoot, Guided Growth, and Leg Length Discrepancy.
